I made one mistake that mattered in court.
During a supervised property pickup, Colin’s old tablet was still logged into our shared family account.
I opened photographs.
Allowed.
Shared.
Then saw a message preview from his private email.
I clicked.
Wrong.
One message.
Then realized.
Closed it.
Called my attorney.
She said:
“Do not touch the device again.”
I didn’t.
Anything I saw there was quarantined from our case unless independently discovered through lawful process.
Colin’s lawyer raised it later.
Correctly.
I admitted it.
Being controlled does not make every boundary disappear in your favor.
That lesson belonged to me.
