“You grabbed Mom when Grandpa came.”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“Because she was leaving.”
“You thought you could stop her?”
“Yes.”
“Could you?”
He looked at her.
“No.”
“Good.”
He accepted the humiliation.
That was part of fatherhood too.
