A Tiny City Next to a Zoo Created the Funniest Unplanned Animal Attraction

In Bakhchysarai, Crimea, someone had the idea of building a miniature park right next to a zoo. The park has about 70 detailed scale replicas of the region’s most famous landmarks, palaces, train stations, and city squares, all built at 1:25 scale, complete with tiny cars, tiny buses, and tiny people frozen mid-stride on tiny streets.
Because the zoo sits right alongside it, the animals wander through constantly.
Most of the time it’s deer or peacocks or goats picking their way between miniature palaces. Charming enough. But every so often, a spider monkey decides to cut through the miniature parking lot, walking upright on two legs, or chilling on a plane.
Apparently nobody really planned it to work this way. It’s just what happens when you build a miniature city next to a zoo and don’t put up a fence between them
