Undercover Female Cops Went for a Run… The Results Were Immediate 😂

In 2025, Police in England launched an undercover operation called Jog On.

Two female officers put on running gear and headed out to areas across Surrey that had been identified as harassment hotspots. Uniformed backup units waited nearby, out of sight.

They were honked at within ten minutes. Thirty seconds later, a second vehicle slowed down, beeping and making gestures. That was the first run.

The operation ran for a month. Officers jogged during rush hour, in parks, and along routes where women had previously reported being followed, approached, and harassed. The campaign resulted in 18 arrests for harassment, assault, and theft.

A Surrey County Council survey had found that 94% of female residents surveyed had experienced some form of harassment, but 49% had never reported it. The Jog On campaign was designed partly to address that gap, to show women that reports would be taken seriously and that police were willing to go looking for the problem rather than waiting for it to be reported.

The operation has since expanded countywide. Similar programs have launched in Bradford and other parts of the UK.
